I'm Mona Jain, a Registered Cranio-Sacral Therapist (RCST), a member with Pacific Association of Cranio-Sacral Therapists (PACT) and a Somatic Coach from Somatic Experiencing International founded by Dr. Peter Levine.

My main objective has been to empower and promote quality of life and health management at multiple levels. I help people through gentle touch to tap into their inner resources and experience a holistic shift towards optimal health in a neutral and non-invasive way.

ARE YOU ANXIOUS?
HOW SOMATIC & BCST SUPPORTS IN RESOLVING ANXIETY
Anxiety: Signs, Symptoms, Complications, Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety is no laughing matter.

Your throat feels tight, your breathing becomes short, your stomach feels like it's turning over, your body trembles, and all of these symptoms make it difficult for you to talk.

You want to flee.

Going a bit further, the neurological system and the primitive elements of the brain are stuck attempting to protect you, despite the fact that this is how the body may feel and react to a scenario.

Here, even the smallest inputs from the environment or inside the body can set off this defence system, making it nearly automatic and constantly present in the background of daily life Because of the remarkable plasticity of our neural system—that is, its adaptability and moldability—we can successfully deal with worry by training our bodies to experience its exact opposite.

When you're worried, everything may seem out of your control and moving at a breakneck pace, but what your body and mind really need is something that can calm things down.

The red alarm button, which is designed to sound in life-or-death circumstances, activates at the slightest provocation, indicating a continuous threat.

A gentle touch and the presence of another are two methods to silence the warning and restore safety. Additionally, in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Somatic Therapy, we employ a safe, soft touch as well as an empathic presence to assist in deactivating this signal.

It causes the body and mind to move more slowly.

With the therapist's assistance, the client is brought to their feet and taught different tools and strategies to aid in and support their journey back to health and safety.

Over time, the client is able to get over their anxiety thanks to the therapist's assistance in separating the sensation and felt sense from the memories

ARE YOU HAVING CHRONIC PAIN?HOW SOMATIC & BCST CAN SUPPORT IN RESOLVING PAIN

According to the science of pain, pain is an output from our brain that serves as an alarm signal to alert us to a problem and bring it to our attention. Pain is intended to be a friend and a form of defence for us. Inability to sense pain would lead to continued self-harm.

And pain really does exist! Pain is unimaginable. It is a real, physical sensation that our brain can sense. Another interesting truth is that pain cannot be quantified by what is seen on imaging or scan results. There is no mathematical formula that states that the pain increases with damage depth or decreases with injury size.

Now, each of us has an own way of dealing with pain. Based on all of the events from our previous lives, our brain creates a custom-made feeling, quality, volume, and intensity of pain for each individual. Even with the same injury and situation, two people can experience pain extremely differently. It is crucial to understand this while managing pain, especially chronic pain.

This most significant query that occupies our brain constantly is, "Am I safe?" If your brain is being controlled by old memories of fear, danger, or trigger, it won't be able to resolve, prolonging the agony. Our 3D nervous system becomes sensitive to danger when it spreads quickly, causing a false alarm that keeps it on high alert all the time.

Finally, some encouraging news: According to the theory of neuroplasticity, the same nerves that can intensify risk can also undo the learning of pain. Signals of safety cause nerves to desensitise and rewire. With BCST, and Somatic we help our customers overcome pain, reduce inflammation, and lessen the volume of the perceived threat, which keeps the body on high alert. We also help them regulate and balance their neurological systems.

How Therapy Works

"If you listen to your body when it whispers, you won’t have to hear it scream."

You are an infinite being connected to the physical reality through your body which is conscious and has great wisdom, it knows exactly what it desires and requires to be whole again. Listen to its soft energetic whispers – heart burn, headache, insomnia, tight back, sore shoulders, neck etc. It is talking to you the whole time.

But Are We Listening?
Maybe not! Let’s look at it closely, should we?
Mostly when we fall sick, the easiest is to pop a pill or visit a physician (has its own place in today's modern world). We end up with a single prescription and lots of unanswered questions. We feel stressed and forget the episode conveniently once cured.

But Are we really Cured?
No, of course not, we managed our symptoms temporarily waiting for the dis-ease to strike again, more ferociously so what are we missing here?
To diagnose the root cause of any illness we need to look at the person holistically including the physiology, psychology, emotions, behaviour and experiences. The only way to treat this is through a therapy which focuses on the ‘Whole Self” and understands every aspect of your well-being – physical, emotional and spiritual. A therapy which is gentle, non-invasive and harmonizes the natural rhythm of the body.
